    European Conference: Youth Employment Support - Innovation and Creativity in VET and SME Support

    The Conference Youth Employment Support tool place in Salzburg on 20. November 2009 and aimed at bringing together European Stakeholders such as

    • company managers, mentors, in-company trainers of apprentices, instructors and other senior members of staff who supervise young people at work.researchers in social and economic sciences
    • recruiters selecting job applicants and introduce them into their company
    • key persons and actors in the field of labour market policy and practice
    • practitioners in adult education: trainers, managers, programme planners

    At the conference the outcomes of the YES project were presented and the topic of youth unemployment, youth employment support initiatives and innovative concepts was  discussed in four wider contexts in which they are situated.

    • pedagogical and psychological aspects of youth employment support offers
    • social and economic aspects of youth unemployment, future aspects considering economic crises and needs of companys
    • legal aspects and possibilites of youth employment support in Europe and EU member states
    • youth employment support in the context of European lifelong learning strategies

    The conference took place in the framework of BIM, a large regional exhibition on vocational and further education in the west of Austria and southern Germany (EUREGIO) . It was organised by the coordinator of the YES project, die Berater® , in co-operation with Wirtschaftskammer Salzburg ( Economic Chamber Salzburg).

    Conference on the European Social Fund (ESF): "Contribution to the Inclusion of Young People into the Labour Market"

    11 - 12 June 2008, Maribor, Slovenia
    This conference gives the chance for continued debate on the issue of youth and the future development of the European Social Fund, especially how the fund can most effectively contribute to permanent and efficient addressing of the issues the young face nowadays, namely the transition from the level of education to labour market, raising the level of education and qualification of youth, lowering the level of early school leavers and the social inclusion of youth. One of the main bases of this debate is the Communication "Promoting young people's full participation in education, employment and society" of the Commission of the European Communities.

    Conference and Exhibition Employment Week

    11 - 12 June 2008, Brussels, Belgium
    The objective of this 15th annual conference and exhibition titled "Adapting to change - making Europe a prosperous labour market" is to learn more about today's employment trends and initiatives how to manage the demands of global competition and demographic change by hearing the different stakeholders' views and concrete and practical case-studies.

    Growing Mentoring & Coaching in Scotland - Realising Our Potential

    This Conference was organised for mentoring and coaching practitioners who want to increase the profile, access and delivery of high quality Mentoring and Coaching. The Czech YES project partner presented YES and distributed information material at this conference.

    Conference "Jobs for Youth - Prosperity for All"

    24 - 25 April 2008, Brdo, Slovenia
    The main emphasis of this conference will be placed on the aereas youth and atypical employments, youth and mobility, linking labour market and education as well as work-life balance.

     

     

    Kick-off Meeting

    22 - 23 November 2007, Salzburg, Austria
    At the start of the project all partners have met in Salzburg in order to discuss and agree on a common course of action.

     

    Conference "Jugendbeschäftigung in der Europa Region Mitte. Neue Chance - Neue Wege"

    15 - 16 November 2007, Austria
    During this trilateral employment market conference "Youth employment in the centre region of Europe. New chances - new ways" youth employment in Austria, Slovakia and Hungary took centre stage. Information and experiences about employment measures and pilot projects was exchanged and future strategies for successful active and innovative labour market policy were discussed. Besides representatives from national labour ministries other actors of labour market policy, social partners and transnational projects got a forum. YES was presented and received with great interest by the participants.
